≈ AUSTRALIAN WINTER 2013 ≈

At Zion we're really about dreams. The dreams planted in our hearts. Experience. The unknown. Getting in over our heads. Potential. Chasing that last hour of light. Sacrifice. Taking risks. Throwing down on a whim to destinations we know nothing about, getting stuck in an arctic blizzard and coming out the other end. Landing a virgin range and having the fellas load up your living room with boxes till they're stacked so high the light can't shine through the windows. Pulling all nighters to make things happen. Watching a kid become a man and realise his potential. We've always been about weaving dreams and doing some cool stuff in between.

Six years ago Zion was born in my living room and I've watched this dream outgrow the living room to every room of the house, to a storage space, eventually spilling over to a factory pumping out a little stoke for everyone. We've spread our love to ten countries, watched kids with dreams become some of the best riders in the sport, and travelled to the end of the world to tell our story. We've enjoyed soaring highs, and lows that could, and did make grown men cry. Times that life could not have better. Times that have made me crawl into a dark room in my mind and not come out for days. After all of these experiences, we've emerged stronger with more knowledge and better equipped to take anything on. However, nothing could prepare us for the bomb our current manufacturer dropped on May 7th, a week after the range was due to leave the factory. I guess we'll never really know how a range finalized and paid for five months previously hadn't been started on, and raw materials were yet to be ordered!

Subsequently, we have been forced to pull W13 from production. Definitely the darkest hour we've seen, and we apologise deeply to the many that have already pre purchased their winter sheaths. That said a small, totally limited run will be hitting Australian shores early August. There are only 200 units in total, and with a maximum of 20 units per style/colourway they will truly be one of a kind and worth riding out the storm with us for!

I want to express my personal gratitude to every single one of you out there that has shared in the Zion experience, by wearing our rubber and watching our films. You've played a role in shaping the movement Zion is today. It's such an awesome feeling to see someone sharing in and getting enjoyment from all the blood, sweat and tears we've shed. And believe me there have been a lot of all three poured into everything we've done, with the misfortune of W13 being no exception.

We're tackling the Australian Summer with a rubber sheet and sewing machine of vengeance early October, pumping out some fresh cuts and colours that will blow you away.
